Best FLV File Size
on Jun 15, 2007 at 2:35:16 am

Hi Everybody,

I just started using Flash Video on my website and I'm curious to get some opinions as to what my maximum file sizes should be. My first video is 4 minutes long and just over 7megs with dimensions of 300 x 240. Does that sound about right or should I be shooting for a much smaller file size? Or could I compress at medium quality (the same video on medium compression was 15megs but looked incredible)

Just looking for some opinions. Obviously I want my videos to be accessable to the most number of people without sacrificing much in the way of quality.

Thanks for any help.

Depends on your audience.

I tend to upload files at 640x480 at high quality (about 15mb) and the important thing is to just have a good loader that lets viewers know what the progress is.
