changing the anchor point coordinates (ike in After Effects)
on May 21, 2007 at 6:41:05 pm

I have a rectangle growing from 0 to 100%. I want it to grow in 20 frames, from the lower left corner. Sounds simple, right? But that round dot to which is anchored doesn't move.

I am a pro in After Effetcs, but Flash is weird.
It's like in After Effect, where I can change the coordinates of the anchor point.

have you changed the anchor point to be located at the lower left?

Draw a square. Select the square and select Convert To Symbol under Modify. Notice the coordinate grid with one little black square? Change your anchor point there by clicking on the lower left dot.

Pull an instance on the stage, put the ending keyframe later in the timeline.

Then, use Shift + Option to scale up the square on the final keyframe pulling the top right corner.

Motion Tween the two frames and voila.
