Basic Flash Question
on Apr 3, 2007 at 4:12:54 pm

Can someone help me understand the proper way to create a self-playing Flash file that I need to send to a client. The object at this point is not to view from a website.

I have an FLV file that I want a client to download then play as a stand alone file. An FLV file by itself is not playable.

Can someone please help me along with a solution as I do not want to convert the original AVI piece used to create the FLV file then compress it to a WMV or other format that will contain artifacts and simply not display well.

Please help!!!

Thanks!!

Hi,

I would tell the client to download the flv file and standalone exe flash file, and place them in the same directory. As long as the flv file has not been renamed then it should be fine. Or why not try and do them as the same download zip file, which should uncompress them in the same directory automatically.
