Building a website - actionscript issues
on Mar 6, 2007 at 10:34:59 pm

I am having issues with directing my buttons to my scenes, using Flash Presentation. Here is my script:

home.onRelease = about_us.onRelease = our_work.onRelease = our_offices.onRelease = in_development.onRelease = PRESS.onRelease = contact_us.onRelease = function() {
trace("go to slide" + " " + this._name);
this._parent._parent.pages.gotoSlide(this._parent._parent.pages[this._name]);
var pointertween:Tween = new Tween(this._parent.mcPointer, "_x", Strong.easeOut, this._parent[lastTarget]._x, this._x, 1, true);
lastTarget = this._name;
};

btnLogo.onRelease = btnLumtype.onRelease = function() {
this._parent.pages.gotoSlide(this._parent.pages[home]);
var pointertween:Tween = new Tween(this._parent.mcPointer, "_x", Strong.easeOut, this._parent[lastTarget]._x, this._parent["home"]._x, 1, true);
lastTarget = this.name;
};

The home is a fictional button off screen, I use it only as a placeholder to direct the pointer off the screen. My two btn's are what I want to direct to the home page, everything else will go to a scene that has the same instance name as the scene name. Can anyone see if I am doing anything wrong, I have been stuck on this for a couple days now. Thanks
