custom video cuepoint buttons How to auto highlight current video btn???????
on Dec 26, 2006 at 11:59:30 pm

Hi, I am having the hardest time trying to find a simple solution for auto highlighting custom video cue buttons when the corrosponding video is playing.
i am using the Set Videos Behavior in flash 8pro. with this i have made four custom buttons to call up the videos on demand . How do I link a cue button highlight to the current video playing.

answer would be a huge help.

thank you

Embedding cue points in the flv is more accurate than setting cue points via actionscript.

Then, you need to listen for a cue point and then just goto the frame of the movie clip that has the highlight frame.

InstanceNameOfVideo.cuePoint = function(){
trace("cue"); //or whatever action like goto!

or using listener events:

-------------- LISTENER EVENTS ---------------
var listenerObject:Object = new Object();

listenerObject.cuePoint = function(evtObj){ //the "evtObj" is just a name to use
trace(evtObj.info.name);
trace(evtObj.info.time);

}
myVideo.addEventListener("cuePoint",listenerObject); //myVideo being the name of the instance
