How are you doing the text animation? If it's all done on the timeline, just add 5 seconds of frames at the end.

Make a blank movie clip, 5 seconds long.

Associate this with your existing clip:

if (this._currentframe==this._totalframes){
fiveseconds.play();
}

And put this on your five second clip:

if (this._currentframe==this._totalframes){
firstmovieclip.play();
}

use set interval..it's a lot cleaner..no extra movieclips...

first frame of your movie...write a function ..try this..

function loopMe():Void{
gotoAndPlay(1);
clearInterval(looper);
}

the last frame of your movie...where you want it to pause...try this..

stop();
var looper = setInterval(loopMe,5000);

the 5000 is the time in milliseconds...it can be adjusted for whatever interval you want...
basically you're just telling it to chill out for however long, then call a play function...clearing the interval till the next time it hits the end...

there's ways to make it loop a specified number of times but this should work for what you're asking...
