Hello! This problem has been bugging me for a while, so I thought I'd see if anyone knew a solution. It's likely that this is more of an After Effects problem than a Flash one, but thought I'd try posting here just in case someone had some ideas.
I create drawings in Macromedia Flash,
export them as Illustrator (6) .ai files,
and then import these .ai files into After Effects.
The PROBLEM is that the colors are usually off slightly. Bright colors in Flash end up looking very muted, drab in After Effects. Could this have something to do with an implicit color space of Illustrator files? Is there a way to compensate?
(I can attach a screenshot to help illustrate, if necessary.)
The reason I export .ai files, as opposed to simply importing .swf files directly, is that .swf files do not support an alpha channel, as far as I know. Another option is to export as .png files, but I need the files to be vector-based! Thus .ai.
