Menu Bar issue...
on Jul 25, 2006 at 7:51:42 pm

I'm using Flash Professional 8 and Dreamweaver 8.

I built a menu bar in Flash to use on an html page I'm building in DWeaver. It's just simple text I turned into button symbols that are linked their respective pages I'm building in DWeaver.

The issue is, the Flash buttons only work if I have their targets set to "_blank". This is an issue because each time I test, lets say, the main index page, each time I click a link on the Flash menu bar to go to one of the other pages, it opens in a separate window (in IE) or a new tab (in Firefox).

I would like these buttons to be "normal" and simply open the link in the same page, but even by setting the targets up as _self, _top, or _parent, it does nothing. They won't open or even seem to attempt to open another page.
No errors. No "Page cannot be displayed..." etc...

Is there something I'm missing as far as the marriage between DWeaver and Flash... or maybe something(s) else?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I'm trying to move on with this project, and right now, I'm stuck.
