shape tween problem...
on Jul 24, 2006 at 5:13:58 pm

Whenever I apply a shape tween, in order from the 1st shape to morph into the 2nd, it completely distorts. For example, when creating a walking animation I draw the leg straight. Then I pull the points out to draw the leg slightly more bent. Even though this should be a simple tween from one position to the next, the image totally distorts half way through the tween. I know it's hard to understand but it's probably a simple problem to fix. It's driving me nuts though! could someone please help me? THANKS!

try reading up on "shape hints" under flash's help menu, using those should solve your problem.

although you may be better off drawing something like that frame by frame, in that case onion skinning would be a useful thing to use. onion skinning basically shows the current frame and previous frames all at once so you can draw your current frame while referencing the previous ones at the same time.
