Does anyone know of good software to rip video from DVD without any quality reduction? I'm converting it to flv in the end. I use flash 8's video converter to do the converting, I may pick up sorenson squeeze in the future if it works better.
So far anything I rip from dvd always has quality reduction in the end and I end up with a pretty cruddy file.
Tell them to forget what's easiest for them and ask them to give you either an uncompressed AVI file (if the clip is small and short, AVIs can get HUGE fast...) or a DV or Quicktime file if AVIs are too Large.
Having them make a DVD that you have to rip and reconvert is just adding unnecessary steps in the middle that can only reduce the quality in the end.
I'm filling a need. Without me there would be no bad examples.
really? I mean this is the same DVD that they send to the TV studio. We will lose production time if we have to export from the actual program. I think they are using velocity for alot of it.
Shouldn't there be some way that I can rip it and convert to quicktime without losing so much quality that it seems happening. Most of the quality that I see loss in is when they place images in the video. Also in text. I think the ripping program currently being used is called IMTOO or something. I tried handbrake 7 as well and it was cruddy quality.
