FLV in SWF Question
on May 19, 2006 at 10:03:26 pm

Greetings, I'm a video producer trying to place a video I shot on a CD with a Flash GUI. I'm using Sorenson's FLV encoder and compressing my files to 480x360 playing @ 30fps, with 896 bit rate. For the most part the video looks good, but every once in while compression artifacts show up. These artifacts are a slightly transparent banding on the video, as if the video is being vertically sliced up and not being lined back up properly. The file size is 44mb so I was thinking that it should run on a CD without artifacts. Any thoughts or suggestions? I opted for FLV over QT or WMV because I did not know how to properly embed those files in the .swf file and maintain sync.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Up your bitrate; It'll be a local file (On CD).
