Flash Video Live Streams?
on May 8, 2006 at 2:17:50 pm

Anyone have any experience using Flash for streaming live content? No need for collaboration so I'm not thinking Breeze. I've looked around and have seen some service-provider pages that appear to be looping flash video but I'm hoping to find specific examples of live event video streams delivered using Flash. I'm particularly interested in the encoding end of a live setup; video capture hardware, CPU, OS etc.

I have no experience with it, but am pretty sure the way to do it is to be using the Flash Communication Server software. I've read a little about the Com. Server (O'Reilly has a book on it) and it didn't seem too hard to do.
