i want to have a unscalable pop up.. here is my code:

stop();
//
this.onEnterFrame = function() {
if (rewind == true) {
prevFrame();
}
};
//
this.onRollOut = this.onReleaseOutside = function() {
rewind = true;
};
//
this.onRelease = function() {
getURL(javascript:openNewWindow('http://www.velocityouth.com/amazingrace.htm','thewin','height=366,width=277,toolbar=no,scrollbars=no');
};//

BUT i keep getting this error and my file doesnt work

**Error** Symbol=button, layer=Layer 3, frame=1:Line 14: ')' or ',' expected
getURL(javascript:openNewWindow('http://www.velocityouth.com/amazingrace.htm','thewin','height=366,width=277,toolbar=no,scrollbars=no');

Total ActionScript Errors: 1 Reported Errors: 1

Can anyone help me figure this out.

you have to be aware of what data types you are sending through flash functions, aka as an expression or not. It looks to me that you send this data:

'height=366,width=277,toolbar=no,scrollbars=no'

as a string (expression) because of the single quote you have included around this set of charactors. Unless i know the function well i usually look at the reference for that function which usually tells which data types to use. I am not completely familiar with using java script with Flash and get URL but you may try playing with your placement of quotes. my best guess would be:

getURL('javascript:openNewWindow('http://www.velocityouth.com/amazingrace.htm','thewin',height=366,width=277,toolbar=no,scrollbars=no');

aka send that whole statement as an expression to flash, and within the expression, send height, width, ... as variables. Check out some documentation online for java/flash interaction
