Linking External Data with Master.swf when you upload to server!!!!!!!

Hello,

I have a huge problem. I have created Webpage in flash where on two of the pages I created Dynamic text fields into which Flash loads information from an external Text document. It all works fine on my computer but when I upload it to my server I get an error message that Flash can not find the text documents.

How can I connect those files with the master.SWF. I know that I need to do it in the action script, however what do I put there? How can I find the right path? Where can I find it? is it the The HTML System Path for the server provider?

var cssStyles:TextField.StyleSheet = new TextField.StyleSheet();
cssStyles.load("styles/styles.txt");
cssStyles.onLoad = function(success) {
if (success) {
loadedInfo.styleSheet = cssStyles;
_level0.myLV.load("Vars/HOME.txt");
} else {
loadedInfo.text = "There has been an error loading the requested information. Please contact the Webmaster to report the error.";
}
}

this.ourHistoryMC.onRollOut = function() {
this.myText.setTextFormat(optionEnable);
}

this.ourHistoryMC.onRelease = function() {
reEnableOptions();
this.myText.setTextFormat(optionDisable);
this.enabled = false;
_level0.myLV.load("Vars/HOME.txt");
}

And this is my system path from me server:

System path:
/home/virtual/grawender.net/var/www/html/

URL:
http://grawender.net or http://www.grawender.net

Please, advise what should I enter? Ho can I solve this problem?

Sincerely,

Piotr Grawender

I get a Forbidden message when I try to follow your links, so I can't see the problem first hand.

Some ideas as to what may be the problem:

Actionscript links to external documents must be relative to the html page the swf is embedded in.
Do you still get the same warning when using absolute URL's for these text documents?
You do not need the system path for the server, just paths visible from the web.

If you could check and repost your links I may be able to help more.

Matt....

Thank you very much, i figured it out. You directed me toward the absolute URL's for these text documents and I had them wrong. I just fixed it and it works just great.

Dziekuje : ) (thank you in Polish)
