Sound fadeout on change of Scene...what's the secret?
on Dec 30, 2005 at 5:09:57 pm

Does anyone out there have a trick or workaround for this?....

The viewer is midway thru a swf file which has embedded audio, they click on a link which takes them to another position in the "timeline". However, the active soundtrack continues to play ad nauseam through to its completion rather than terminating or (best case scenario) fading out. I'd love to know if MX or 8 can be used to create files that allow for this kind of audio control...almost like changing channels within one swf file so that picture and sound both change in synch.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Total novice here but I just happened across this tutorial (via google search of "actionscript tutorial sound fade-out"):

http://www.actionscripts.org/tutorials/intermediate/Dynamic_Sound_Fade/inde...

Hope that helps.
