preloading with Lee's video player
on Dec 13, 2005 at 6:32:56 pm

Hey there-

I am working with the tutorial files from Lee's video player (tutorial 8).

Thanks for the tutorial. I'm confused on something though -

My video doesn't exactly buffer - the buffer words come up, but in the BG the audio is playing, and when the buffer text finally dsappears, the video is already in progress with the audio.

I treied setting the buffer up really high (2500 frames) but the same thing happens - only now, the buffer flashing video plays for the duration of the 2500 frames, with the audio playing - aqnd then the video cutting in matching the audio (so the first 2500 video frames are lost).

Is there a way to actually preload the FLV video without it playing?

Ideally, I'd like to use a preloader for the video, but since only and SWF can have a preloader (and not an FLV - unless I'm wrong) I'm not sure what to do.

Thanks.

Aharon
