i dont know if i can ask this....

i saw this site http://www.jerryavenaim.com and i like its web design elements.

i was told it was done all in flash. is that true? if not what other programs do you think it was done in.

i have flash mx.

can anyone recommend to me any 'how-to' instructional flash videos/tutorials that cover these elements without destroying my wallet too much.

All of that site could be done with Flash and Photoshop (or Fireworks). As far as tutorials, I taught myself using free online tutorials such as Flash Kit, using the search on the site to find tutorials specific to what I want to do. For instance, look in the Effects (or Special Effects) section for some popping visuals such as your example.

Get good with layer masks and shape tweens and you can create something similar It can be done in Flash, except for the photos.
