Embed flash player on a page. How to link?
on Dec 4, 2005 at 1:57:11 pm

Hello,

Id like to add a flash audio player on a page on my website. For example Im going to have an interview and the questions will be text and the answers under each Id like to be a mini audio player with the persons voice Im interviewing.

Do I have to own Macromedia flash to do this?

I only know very basic HTML so please be easy on me. If anyone knows of a tutorial link which is easy to follow on how to do this please let me know.

I can use a regular MP3 or does the audio file HAVE to be flash?

Thanks so much for any help!

To answer your questions in reverse.

Flash can use MP3's, there is no proprietary flash audio file format. It can stream MP3's, as well as contain MP3s and WAVs within the file.

For tutorials, I think you would be able to find what you are looking for on Flashkit.com.

And last, yes, you would need Flash to do this. Macromedia does give a 30-day trial of Flash with which you could accomplish these mp3 players.
