Here's the deal: after YEARS of tooling around with my site, I've finally settled on a design and it works fine. Online that is. When I try to publish it - works, all but the XML file that loads the .swf files for the gallery. I know this may be basic - and I really should know this - but I need to tell the xml file to look for the images on the disc as opposed to on a computer or the web. So I'm trying to create a relative path where the URL would be the folder that's on the disc. This is doable - right? I mean for a local path its file://bla/bla/bla, and the web its http://www.blablabla.com/bla/bla/bla. But what is the path to the folder on my disc?
It would take another program to figure out which drive is the CD drive. I would find this too cumbersome.
Let's say your images are in a folder called 'Images' and your swf is in the same folder level as said Images folder, the only path needed is "Images/blah.jpg" This would be work no matter where your swf is displayed, on the internet, cd or hard drive.
