Any Advice

Hello,
I'm soon graduating college and I'm putting my reel together to show to prospective employers. I already know the basics of how to put one together and what to include.

Now this presents a small problem for me because I have taken on several different types of roles that it may be good to show off. I've been a boom op, location sound mixer, post sound mixing/editing, sound designer, music engineer/mixer, ADR engineer/editor, photographer, and most recently a director.

Would it be best to make several different reels to showcase the individual skill areas? Or is there a decent way that I can make one reel to encompass as many of the skills as possible?

Also, what would be the general rule of thumb to follow for surround sound? Is it wise to stray from making a reel in surround or does it not matter?

In advance I would like to thank you for your help, it will go a long way.

Thank you, and have a good day.

If you want to show a bunch of roles you have played in one reel thin take a look at this one:

NOtice how it says what he did at the bottom of the reel.
