About time I stepped up to the plate and got an opinion from all of you fellas around the world. :)
I've posted enough opinions myself, so its only fair people level their sights at me. hehe
Basically this is an opening montage on my showreel DVD. On my showreel DVD I have other complete versions of selected projects on the DVD for a closer look by clients.
I would describe myself as an Editor with motion graphics skills. Although for this little sting I have used mainly gfx stuff.
i would lose the long intro thing. make it simpler. name and what you do. no contact information stuff. show your montage (make it shorter), then follow up with some of the completed spots or clips. it's good to see the motion stuff in context. does it support the work, concept,. etc. i always send motion graph people to this site for an example of how to position your type of work. http://d-kitchen.com
as I mentioned this is one just a montage for the DVD that you can click on. Complete versions of projects are also there on the DVD for people to click on if they are interested.
I wanted to have a dedicated intro, because this ties in with my whole 'look' that is on the DVD (main menu etc) and business cards, paperwork. I wanted to have a look for me as project in itself, if you know what I mean.
