Motion 5 Audio sync problem on export
on Nov 16, 2011 at 5:58:40 pm

Hi, all. Using Motion 5 for the first time on a brand new MacBook Pro running Lion.

When exporting a two hour project through Compressor, my audio sync drifts when I view it in DVDSP timeline and even when disk is burned. The AC3 audio comes out to 01:51:21:04 in length at 48K and the video length is 01:51:27;23 as MPEG-2 29.97.

Project plays in sync all the way through when viewed in Motion. Project settings are Broadcast HD default.

Any thoughts on how to fix?

Thanks in advance,
Paul

Yes. I video taped a two hour speech and then had overlays of the PowerPoint and text highlights that I put in boxes and enlarged.

Maybe not the best choice, but the learning curve on FCP X was too steep and I was having serious problems with keyframes changing on me when adding new keyframes to do the cropping, repositions, and such.

Ok since you are using DVDSP, just export your audio and video separately, create your m2v and ac3 files, and mux them in DVDPS.

Thanks, Mark. I'll give it a try.
