3D text animation in Motion

Hi all,

I have been asked to quote for, among other things, creating some 3D text moves similar to the video on this page - http://gomobi.info/designersDevelopers.html

Is there an easy way to complete this with the inbuilt behaviours of motion or do i need a separate plugin?

thanks in advance

Martyn

You can do this all directly in Motion without plugins just by animating either the text layers or a camera.

I think it would be easy to do with keyframes.

OK, thanks for the feedback guys.

I'm pretty new to motion so most things are an uphill struggle at the moment. Would it be best to do all of this in one video or break it down into separate pieces?

Animating text will text like the text in the video will not halt your real time playback. I think you could do the whole thing in one project if you wanted to. To save time you may want to keyframe text in and out of the screen. Then duplicate the text. Move it further down the timeline and then alter the text. A lot of the animations in the video looked the same. If you want to alter the in and out keyframes you can do that as well to make every animation feel different. Hope this helps and best of luck.
