Change Single Z-location on shape

Is it possible in MOTION to move the z-location of just one point on a square created with the rectangle tool (i.e., without moving the remaining points on the square. Thanks.

Shape control points only include x and y as you can see in the Inspector - they are always flat planes (that you can rotate in 3D space)

What if I create the square using the B-Spline or Bezier tool. It is then possible to move a single point on the construct in the z-dimension without disturbing the others points on the construct? Thanks for the earlier response. I could see in the inspector that only two dimensions could be altered, but hope there was a work-around. I appreciate your advice.

The workaround is to not use a shape, which is always a 2D plane. You can use a replicator or an emitter on a motion path - the control points of a motion path have x, y, and z.

It seemed so simple reading your words on the post, but I can't make it happen. Could you just give me a quick outline as to how to create a square using a motion path? Thank you so very much.

You have to draw it by hand by double-clicking on the path to add control points and moving them....

How do I get something (anything) on the motion path? Sorry. Thanks for your patience and very helpful information.

One way is to replicate a small circle and use the motion path as the shape source for the replicator.
