Eye dropper is screwed up

I can't accomplish one of the most basic of tasks for a motion graphics program. All I want to do is use the eye dropper to pick a color from an image in the Motion timeline. When I try to use it, the eye dropper is off by a certain amount of horizontal and vertical pixles. It takes several tries of aiming blindly to try and end up on the color I want.
What on earth would cause this?

Gotta love it when the web graphics person looking over my shoulder laughs and says "I'll send you an updated logo with the proper color from photoshop...my eye dropper works".

Sigh

Click on the Color Well so you get a pop up menu. There will be a magnifying glass, select that to pick a color. See if that works better for you. The magnifying glass also lets you select colors outside of Motion, so you could click on that web site directly. Hope this helps.

Beautiful, thanks! I've used Adobe products that let you do this with the eye dropper and was wondering if Motion had a similar function
