Lazer Beam eyes

Lazer Beam eyes

Im total newbie.

I did a search but cant find how to make realistic lazer beams shoot from someones eyes. If anyone could point me in the right direction or show me a tutorial link id be thankful.

You can check out Eran Stern's After effects tutorial on creating Laser Eyes. I understand it is not a tutorial for Motion but it might point you in the right direction.

I watched Eran's tutorial and I agree with Stephen. You can totally do the same thing in Motion. The fractal stuff can be found in the Generator's folder in the Library, and the beam can be done simply with the line tool.

The actual creation of the beams, or tracking isn't the hard part. Making them not look cheesy is.

You will need to motion track the two eyes and use the data as the source points for the beam effect.
You can make beams out of masked colored solids or Shapes>Neon Rectangle, maybe add some lens flares or sun beams, see the various Generators.

After Effects has several cool ways to create and animate beams.

Take a look at the Particle Emitters in the Library. That could add some detail to the lazer, if not the lazer itself.
