camera anchor point

I need to do a simple effect. Basically I want to set up a number of stills and pan the camera around 360 as if you were in a round room and the camera was being panned on a tripod from the centre of the room. Setting up the stills on the z axsis isn't the problem getting the camera to pan from itself and not it's focal point is. This was easy in combustion to just shift the cameras pivit point. I assume you move the camera anchor point in Motion. I've tried that and it doesn't seem to make any differance. Am I missing something.

Howdy,

No need to move the anchor point. To make orbiting easier, Motion cameras default to the 'Framing' camera type, which places the camera's pivot point at the focal plane. Just change the camera to the 'Viewpoint' type, which places the pivot at the center of the camera. To do this, select the camera and then go to the 'Camera' tab in the Inspector. You'll see the popup to changing the camera type.
