Poor Text in Motion 2 or FCP 5
on Aug 22, 2007 at 4:55:33 am

For some reason my text always looks blurry and blocky and bleeding - (the 3 bees) I have tried adjusting ire etc. none of that has any effect. Is there something basic that I`m doing wrong that keeps me from getting excellent text?

Shift Apple 3. takes a picture and puts it on my desktop. Sorry for my ignorance but how do I get that .png picture into this message box?

You use your own site or a photo hosting service like photo bucket and then post a link.

Thanks for the tip. I put them on photo bucket.
One pic is from Motion, the other is when i render it to the timeline in FCP5.

I exported as animation, and the standalone .mov file is perfect - just like in motion.

But when I import the .mov into FCP it gets ugly.
I made sure the IRE`s are at 70. And the frame rate/size match my current timeline in FCP.
I also tried duplicating the frames from FCP to Motion but same bad results.
Anyway I`m at a loss, is there some basic step I`m missing? Have you seen this problem before?

I'm not sure what's going on, but it looks like the FCP pic has been resized to make it 716x300, while the Motion version is 683x347. It's not a huge difference, but it will effect the quality.

No the frame size is not what I`m referring to. The frame size is due to my using the (apple/shift/4) key to draw a square around the text so you can see the quality in both environments.
I checked and double checked frame size, the output, all, to make sure it matches the FCP timeline media.
