When you say merge, you just want to play one after the other, right? You can use different tracks in Audition and have each one in it's own track. Or you can use Soundbooth and do the same thing. The beta is available on It's free and easy to use!

Dalek -
A third of the way down the screen, the modulation,
EQ, and sine wave tools which is mentioned in the
'Voices' paragraph, can all be found within Audition.
You'll probably need all 3 effects to pull it off
authentically, so consider it a good self-tutorial.

Robot Voice - Effects/Delay Effects/Echo/Robotic
This is will give you something metallic-sounding.
A start, at least.

Effects/Time_Pitch/Pitchbender/Up a Whole Step
Effects/Delay Effects/Sweeping Phaser
Effects/Filters/Dynamic EQ
- are just three of the ways to 'alienify' things.

Combine - Effects/Filters/FFT Filter/Telephone Filter
(or Voicemail)
These are walkie-talkie-sounding filters. Have fun
playing around with them.

XGFMedia: Really you don't even need the effects like that for the combine, for me it's just a hassle and the results are sometimes limited. You can use the View>Spectral Frequency Display select the middle (frequency selection tool "F")to find the area you are sure you want to keep, then delete the top and bottom of the selection until the desired radio/phone voice is acquired.

Sorry I don't know why I forgot to add lowering the pitch apart from tempo. Then play with a few preset effects. I just got a perfect sounding combine. If you want I'll make a quick tutorial.
