Burn In Timecode node not behaving as expected
on Oct 29, 2015 at 9:19:46 pm

In Smoke 2016, I'm prepping RED footage stringouts for an offline edit by adding a Burn In Timecode node to each clip in the sequence via ConnectFX. Source footage was shot at 6K on a RED Dragon at true 24p, with time-of-day timecode. Smoke soft import setting is 1/4 debayer.

In the Burn In Timecode node parameters, I'm selecting Source Timecode, but the timecode remains set to 00:00:00+00, and the option to get timecode from the clip is greyed out. I have to manually enter the starting frame source timecode by copying the Media In timecode from the media browser.

Am I doing something wrong, or am I misunderstanding how the node works?

Hi Alan,

I have seen it on my software as well.

I have raised it to the team and they are aware of the issue.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Regards
Grant
