Apply a light to a single object in action
on Jul 16, 2015 at 7:19:47 pm

I want to use a light on a single object, or a set of objects in action, but I don't want it to affect the entire scene. I have tried connecting it to objects in different ways, and to axis nodes of objects, but with no success. Everything I have tried has the light affecting the entire scene. So how do I apply the light just to one object or a set of objects. Thanks.

Shift+L for light link, then link the light to the object. This will appear as a blue line.

Hi,

Walter is correct.

Just remember that when you use the light links, you only focus on the connected objects. So any other objects will not be lit. The solution is to add another light and connect the remaining objects in the scene with the light link. This means you can control the lighting separately for each of the lit objects and their respective light.

Hope this helps.

Grant
