Difference between "Comp" and "Blend & Comp" Nodes

I'm a little confused about the difference between these 2 nodes. When do I use one over the other?

Thanks

The 2 sort of serve the same function. COMP used to be called LogicOps.

The only difference between the 2 is that Blend & Comp can have 2 sources(with mattes) and a background with blend modes and also color correction inside the node.

Comp just had 2 sources (with mattes) and blend modes. So it is a much simpler node for comping 2 clips over one another.

Here is a little more detail on Blend & Comp
