Scaling the trim tool speed/effect

This may seem like a wierd question, but is there a way to change how much the trim tool moves the end of a clip when you drag it across a screen? It seems like when I grab the end of a clip and start to move it, it doesn't move very much relative to how much I'm moving my mouse. If I'm trying to drag a gap effect across a bunch of shots, I can move my mouse across all 3 of my monitors, but I still have go to back and take 3 or 4 passes at it to get it where I want it. It seems like the end of the clip is moving about 1/4 or 1/8 what my mouse is moving. This is great when I'm doing finesse work, and only want to move a few frames, but it gets very arduous when I am trying to make larger moves.

Thanks,

Daniel Burrell

1. You might want to zoom out on your timeline to make the adjustments. Sounds like you are zoomed quite a bit.
2. I would look at using the hot keys for trimming.

Check out the keyboard shortcuts for trimming. For example Trim Tail to Posiioner is Shift+E+Up. Much faster than gestural drag and more accurate.
