Project Deletion Question.
on Oct 14, 2013 at 2:53:06 pm

Good morning fellow grazers. I have a simple project deletion question for Smoke 2013.

I work off of a SANS and have not cached my clips when I imported them into the project.

When I delete a project through the Project and Users Settings dialog box I am asked to confirm the deletion of the project, the deletion of the setups, and the deletion of the clips.

Here's the rather dumb question. If I confirm the deletion of the clips will it delete the media from their location on our SANS? Or is it just the intermediate clips, i.e. render files. & effects?

Again, I apologize for these simpleton questions in advance.

That delete will just delete any cached clips (the cache), and renders. all of your original files will remain safe and sound.

Thank you Brian. That is what I suspected.

I just wanted to confirm as the footage within this project is irreplaceable.

Have a great day!

The only clips that would get lost is if you actually had them in the /usr/discreet/project/your project directory. As the project directory gets deleted.
