Copying elements and effects from project to project
on Aug 21, 2013 at 6:38:58 pm

Hello,
I built a slate for a project in Smoke and I want to copy the same slate in to a new project. Can anyone tell me if this is possible or do I have to create the same slate from scratch? Forgive me if this is super amature. I'm very new to smoke.

Thanks!

Hi,

You don't have to re-create the slate.

- Go into the MediaHub and select Projects from the top. This will show you all the Smoke projects on the system.
- Select your Project and navigate through the Workspaces/Libraries until you find your slate.
- Drag the slate into a Library in your current project.

This works for anything, sequences, elements etc. It's very cool.

Best,
Sandeep.

Ahhh! I see! Well that changes a lot of things! I knew there had to be a way.

Much appreciated, Sandeep!
