There have been a lot of recent posts about this topic, and I have one question to add. Let me frame my question by saying I'm new to Smoke 2013 and I'm coming from After Effects as my primary composite / fx package.
A lot of times I need to composite CG frame sequences. As we all know, frames get re-rendered, added, moved, etc. How do I relink a frame sequence in connect fx that has moved locations? As of right now, if a link is broken, I have been reimporting the frame sequences via MediaHub, searching every instance of the missing media in each connect fx comp and manually replacing the connections in connect fx. I'm sure there's a much better way than what I'm currently doing.
Would using the "read" node in connect fx rather than importing through MediaHub solve my problems?
Thanks for the help, this forum has been instrumental in my training.
