Offset tracking in Stabilizer
on Feb 12, 2013 at 12:56:34 am

In this tutorial http://smoke-training.com/training/st032-tracking-simple-masks on Smoke-Training.com at 5 min in they show how you can offset the tracker if the feature goes off the screen. He switches to the "Add" tool rather than the select tool. In my Stabilizer, I don't have "Add", but rather "Add Points" -- and it doesn't seem to do the same thing. It doesn't let me grab and move the tracker.

I'm in the 2D Transform node in CFX by the way.

Thanks for any help!

When I tried it in the 2D Transform node, it works for me. Smoke can be a bit picky about where you click when you want to move the tracking point. In the old Smoke, I found it easier to cntrl+click to move my tracking points. Also, if you have a key frame on that frame, it wont let you move the tracking point. So you can try to del the kf and then move the tracking point.

hope that helps.

Hmm, not sure what's up with it, but it's not working over here. Both the Stabilizer in 2D Transform, and in Action both have 'Add Points' as the only tools, and it definitely doesn't behave the way the Smoke-Training tutorial demonstrates...

I'm on the latest version of Smoke for Mac 2013
