I got question about using HDV codec in Smoke.
Of course, Smoke doesn’t support HDV codec natively so I changed the source to ProRes HQ via FCP 7.
Then, I could import converting file(ProRes HQ) in Smoke and finish the work.
After that I rendered a sequence but It takes so long long~~ time. About 5 times longer takes than seqence duration.
This is really huge problem.
Is there any wrong steps?
Original source format : MPEG-4(Quicktime)(HDV 1080i) 29.97fps 1440*1080(F1)
converting format : MPEG-4(Quicktime)ProRes HQ 29.97fps 1440*1080(F1)
Smoke Project Intermediate setting : ProRes 422
Storage status : PCI single Link, 16TB
Above result is weird so I’ve test another ProRes 422 file(it’s not converted, original) but It’s the same result. Rendering takes really long than previous version of Smoke.
Am I change Smoke Project Settings?
And Is there any method for reducing number of rendering?(If I changed little thing, I would have to render again. Get me crazy!)
