I'm trying to use the Smoke setup utility to create a folder for media storage. The location I need to use is a shared storage array connected via 10 gig ethernet. Speed is plenty - about 1000 megabytes per second read - but I can't get this location to "stick" in the utility. I add it, I hit Apply, quit out of the utility and launch Smoke. I then get an error message that the media storage location is invalid or missing.
If I open up the utility again, my folder no longer appears under the storage tab.
Fixed this - must have been some kind of corruption with the Smoke Setup Utility. Even though I uninstalled the beta release before installing the latest version, the software was still looking back at a volume that is no longer connected to this Mac.
I deleted the Setup Utility, THEN uninstalled, THEN reinstalled and it seems to be working now.
