Are there any links that explain this in detail?

Coming from an editing background/perspective, I'm finding it difficult to wrap my head around this way of working. I did pick up the fxphd Smoke Fundamentals set, but it seems to be taken for granted that everyone gets this concept.

So I find myself muddling around in CFX until i eventually end up connecting stuff together in a way that works. And it looks so powerful that my clueless-ness is really pissing me off.

Any pointers, links would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Sandeep.

Thanks Brian! Both links are excellent.

Are you teaching the fxphd Smoke Intermediate course this term? It's too late for me to sign up, but I'm hoping it'll be offered next term as well.

I am doing 4 classes and John Montgomery and Mike Seymour are doing the others. You can still join up. Only 4-5 classes have been released.

I imagine that it would be repeated next term. But that's John and Mikes call.
