Trouble with ProRes 422 HQ?
on Jun 13, 2012 at 2:16:01 am

Trying to test it out, but the first project I had with some ProRes 422 HQ footage is not showing up in the Media Hub. I'm new to Smoke, so I'm probably doing something stupid, but a pref or filter setting didn't jump out at me.

Also, dragging in FCP sequences just gives me a "blank" sequence.

Suggestions?

I had some trouble loading media as well today (first time user).

Sometimes opening/closing the encompassing folder would refresh it. I tried Red, ProRes Alexa, DSLR, p2 and avchd. They all had some weird hesitations.

Hi Brad,

Does the browser not say "Loading" while you go to a folder with your media? How many files are in the folder?

Secondly, you say that you drag FCP sequences into Smoke, are you referring to drag and drop XMLs exported from FCP?

Regards
Grant

Nope, when I go to the folder, it shows subfolders, but no media files – like they're being filtered out. It can see XDCAM EX clips and GoPro Hero clips I've imported, but not the ProRes 422 HQ files.

Yes, I'm talking about XMLs exported from FCP; in this case FCP X.

Brad
