Smoke on Mavericks

Is anyone having issues? I'm setting up a suite at home and have had issues. After the service pack it's not even opening. I've ran it on my Mac no problems before, it was the full version. I'm solo now so I don't have my old post houses copy, I'm running the student version now. Don't know if this is impacting it.

As far as I know Smoke is not supported on Mavericks. See here:

Hi, James.

Smoke does not currently support OS 10.9.*
The three main issues with Mavericks are:

-> Smoke can't activate a stand-alone license because the version of the ADLM licensing system in the current release of Smoke is not compatible with OS 10.9.

-> Smoke can't restore archives, because Apple has removed the /usr/bin/gnutar command from the OS. Smoke's archiving feature relies on gnutar to package and unpackage archives.

-> There are performance issues due to significant changes in the way the OS interfaces with the graphics card.

We're working on all of these issues, but for the time being we advise against upgrading your Smoke workstations to Mavericks.

Best regards,
Robert.

Any word on when there might be some movement on this? I've just bought a shiny new iMac so that I can run Smoke, only to discover that Mavericks is 'baked-in', and it doesn't seem that I can downgrade back to Mountain Lion.

Thanks in advance,
Christopher

NAB is April 7th.. So I would expect everything we need to know will be revealed then. I'm confident that Mavericks will be supported.
