Hey Guys,

Im sure this has to be an easy one but Im just missing it. In action and have a bilinear image tracked and animated as I need and now want to use that shape as a matte for a flat image. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi Nick,

You need to create a matte output of the surface from action and than you can recompose it with yourflat image.

In action, go to the outputs menu.

You will see that there is one output assigned. This is the composite by default.

Select the output in the list and make a copy of it.

Select the copy and rename that to matte output.

With the copy still selected, change the type from comp to matte.

Select your viewer and press F4 to cycle between the output views.

This will give you your multiple outputs.

In ConnectFX, select the action node and press OPTION+C to expand the node fully and you can see all your outputs for that node and you can take it from there.

Hope this helps!

Regards
Grant
