Adjusting 3D Convergence in Smoke 2013
on Aug 12, 2013 at 12:20:03 pm

Hi All,

Working with stereo material in Smoke 2013, and I need to adjust convergence on a clip-by-clip basis once a rough edit with stereo clips has been completed.

Creating and editing stereo clips with Smoke's utilities/tools is no problem, however all documentation that I can find on convergence and other 3D tasks seems like it only pertains to earlier versions of Smoke. I saw one older demo where you could adjust convergence with Axis as a soft effect, but I have had no luck in Smoke 2013 after an hour of poring through the menus.

Can anybody enlighten me?

Many thanks in advance -

Harrison

Hi Harrison,

The functionality is still there.

Add an Axis to your stereo clip.

In the mini UI, you need to change the pull-down from SURFACE to STEREO. This will show the convergence control that you are after.

That should do it.

Grant
