How do I isolate just the plot color in the 2D Vectorscope?

For example, I go to Work On > Sel 1...
I go to View > Sel. At this point, the image turns monochrome.
I check the Selective 1 box and Pick Custom.

I select a range of colors within the image, for example, the blue strip in a man's T-Shirt. These colors appear mapped on the 2D Vectorscope towards the blue vector, obviously.

Then I change from Sel to Result so that I can look at the normal image, not the monochrome version. However, this brings up all the colors within the image on the 2D Vectorscope, when I only want to see the selected range.

I read that I simply had to turn off source and destination icons under the histogram, but it's not working. When I do that, I still get all the colors from the entire image represented on the 2D Vectorscop, when I really just want to see the selected or plotted colors I'm trying to change.

I'm using Smoke for Mac 2013.

Thanks!
