Bringing a clip into action without dissolves but with heads and tails...
on Apr 29, 2012 at 9:06:41 am

Hi

I know this is pretty basic but I am trying to remember how to bring a clip into action from the timeline. The sequence has dissolves so when I copy using the "f" key I get black at both ends. In the Linux smoke there was a way to import with heads and tails without having to stretch it out manually but I have forgotten it! Any suggestions?

Hi,

The functionality for Smoke 2012 on Linux and Smoke 2012 on Mac is exactly the same.

Using the Smoke hotkeys, the F hotkey copies the clip out of the timeline with no heads or tails.

Press the / hotkey to match the shot back to the desktop and the clip will contain the heads and tails too that you can load into action.

Regards
Grant
