How to select e.g. half the timeline?
on Apr 2, 2012 at 1:30:16 pm

HI,

what I mean is, I have a timeline with about 10 layers and a bunch of clips and dissolves etc. Now I have to TW a clip somewhere in the middle, so I have to move everything over to the right, so I can extend or shorten that clip.
Is there a different way to select everything than 'drawing a box' from the right of the last clip? Cause I never catch everything (especially, when I don't see all the layers at once).... I need something like in Final Cut, where you can select everything that's to the right of the timeline cursor.

Thanks!!

SHIFT + F5 will give you the large timeline view, which might help make things easier to lasso with the box.

SHIFT and drag the positioner will highlight everything as it passes.

hi,

not sure, if this is, what you want - but just TW lock both - ripple trim with sync on & link cuts off (if you need to insert gaps) should give you that in one pass ... ?
