Autodesk smoke 2011 paint on sequence?
on Dec 10, 2011 at 4:55:11 am

Hello!

I just installed Smoke 2011, I know, old copy.

I am trying to find the option to "Paint On Sequence" instead of just one frame.

I see in the smoke wire removal tutorial here: http://area.autodesk.com/flame-tutorials/exercise_wire_removal-4

It is done in Batch in the tutorial.

Does 2011 Smoke on Mac OSX not have Batch? Which means I cant access the "Paint On Sequence" with a paint node?

The paint effect I select doesnt seem to have it, maybe because it is considered a soft effect?

Please help.

hi,

actually Paint in smoke on mac is a separate module - no softfx, as you mean.

there you have "Canvas", which paints directly on an individual frame,
or "graphics", which are vectors & can be rendered over the sequence
in "Canvas" you also have an "Autopaint > User" option, where you can record a paintstroke/s an render it over a defined duration (by a second timeline)

batch-paint is not available due to lack of batch ...
