Is there any plan (from Autodesk) to introduce Batch FX in Smoke for Mac? Many (if not all) of the associated preferences and controls appear to be in the software already, they are just disabled...

I highly doubt it, being able to render a Batch setup which originated from smoke advanced or flame is about as close as you'll get

Currently you can get some good mileage out of the Modular Keyer and use it as "batch lite". I particularly like Batch Paint in the MK.

I think Autodesk should add batch to the mac version. Coming from an Avid DS background (well pre and post avid ownership) and migrating to the Smoke on Mac I think the single biggest feature it's lacking is tree based compositing that allows you to use sparks and the new flame fx.
