Smoke Crashes on XMl Import

Hi Everyone

I'm new to Smoke and have an issue.

Im importing an xml from FCP and Smoke crashes in the library. I'm taking a class @ FXPHD and the first class is an easy xml import reading the source media.

As soon as I load the xml into the clip library Smoke crashes.

I know this is vague but any guidance on finding a solution would be helpful. I've already gone thru the system set up requirements and have a great machine built to Smoke requirements.

I'm wondering if it is a network configuration of some sort? Not sure... any help would be appreciated.

Thanks !

I would check the XML. Most likely it is something inside the XML.

Thanks Moody --

I tried but it's also any media clip I add freezes Smoke? Kind of frustrating trying to source the problem :)

I know you aren't dealing with red... But it might help.

I've had a simular problem with crashing on imports. If you have Qmaster running try turning it off. Worked for me.

Thanks David -- I'll give it a try and report back. I'm going to post a longer thread and hopefully figure it out.
Much appreciate the response !!
